The custom of giving and receiving dowry is happening due to the double standard of our society, comprise a group of beggar, shameless and mentally sick public wear the dress of educated, intellectual human beings. Dowry is a dangerous disease, no doctor would prescribe any medicine for recovery.  Parents do not want their marital daughters to be return to their parental homes, so that they have to pay for this, valuable properties, money in consideration of marriage and use to force their own blood to adjust with monster in-laws and husband. Till 2010, ( Maldah Dist : Sulekha Biwi Murder Case, suspects are husband and father-in-law due to the dowry demand 11.11.10). There are no adoption of progressive line of thinking. Only amendments of laws, bomb-blasting speeches of our opinion leaders and so called woman development and woman liberalization organizations are not enough to eradicate the "Dowry system" a social disease from India. What about actual work? I am neither talking about “Rally”, “Rasta Roko” or commencement of any “Morcha” nor even any parliamentarian fight about the statistics of dowry victim. It is the high time to blow on the sand barrage of our social structure & old traditions, bring out the reality of dominance regarding a wife as a husband’s property. This is not an honour for husbands, it’s proving their impotence. Is this a progressive India? Here brides are seemed to be transferred from their parental family to their marital family and use to burn or commit suicide and face violence due to dowry demand and side by side we the Indians feeling proud to be a modern human being of Third World Country. Foreign adoption does not address the modernity, social structure, custom, culture, literacy , mentality defines modernity. Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and many other state of India still facing the dowry disease and we could not find out  rapid  protest. It's the evidence of  how much backboneless the society is.  Protests exist here but after the death of dowry victim. What kind of society is this? Who the hell those in-laws can demand dowry? They don’t have any right over their daughter-in -laws . First of all our backboneless, society has to understand this. Dowry leads to another crime such as female foeticide.

                                                                   It’s the fault of our social structure, fault of the parents of daughters. If each and everyone protest to fulfill dowry demand , we can eradicate this disease. It’s upon the Girls’; they have to be strong, don't need to compromise with their self respect. Remember it we are not the dolls of our fathers, brothers, husbands, in-laws or even sons. Education for every girl and self dependence can stop this dowry demand and to acheive this  parents of daughters have to be co-operative with their own blood. Employment for every woman is essential. Marriage is only a ritual; a religious bond ; don’t try to  make it compromise or sacrifice for your own girl. And if you think so, then you have to shame on yourselves. No adjustment , No compromise , No sacrifice.Either victory or Loss  which means  compete or die.

The Girls' who commit suicide or want to commit, they have to remember this, that the impotent society does not deserve their sacrifice not even their family members, husband and even those, whom they used to love. It is only our fight, we are alone, and we have to fight for equal right. Without this any declaration of such International  Women's Day  is useless in charecter.No reservation, no sex discrimination , only equal status  for women in every sphere of life with that of men have to be grant.
